Golden moles are found in Southern Africa. They are 3-7 inches long and have thick fur, small ears, short tails, and skin-covered eyes. They live underground and eat insects.

Tenrecs are found in Madagascar and western Africa. Tenrecs come in a variety of shapes. Some look like mice or shrews, others look like hedgehogs, and some even look like muskrats, otters, and opossums. They are found in a variety of habitats, including deserts and forests. Most species eat insects and are nocturnal.
