Craseonycteridae - Kitti's Hog-Nosed Bat

There is only one species in this family found in southwestern Thailand and Myanmar.

Kitti’s hog-nosed bat (Craseonycteris thonglongyai) is the smallest bat in the world. It is about the size of a bumblebee and is sometimes called the bumblebee bat.

It has a pig-like snout and no tail.

It lives in small groups deep in limestone caves. It catches insects in the air and also eats them off the foliage of trees.
