Ctenodactylidae - Gundis

There are five species in this family. They are all found in northern Africa.

Gundis have soft, silky brown or gray fur and look like guinea pigs. They have short, furry tails; rounded ears; round eyes; stocky bodies; short legs; and short necks.

Gundis are herbivores and are active during the day. They live in colonies.
