Ranidae - True Frogs

There are about 600 species in this family of frogs. They are found in all parts of the world, except for Antarctica.

There is only one species, the Australian wood frog, found in Australia.

True frogs have a bony breastbone, long legs, and webbed toes.

They lay their eggs in the water. Most species eat insects.
