Thyropteridae - Disc-Winged Bats

There are five species of bats in this family. They are found in Central and South America.

They have suction cups on their front and hind limbs that they use to cling to and roost in curled-up leaves, especially banana or heliconia leaves.

They have large ears, a small, slender snout, and no noseleaf.
