Platystictidae - Shadowdamsels

There are over 1,200 species in this family of insects. Shadowdamsels are a tropical species. Most species are found in Central America, South America, and Asia.

They are usually found in forested areas near streams and rivers.

They have lacy wings that are long and narrow, and they have a long, very slender abdomen.
