Rhinocerotidae - Rhinoceroses

There are five species in this family of large mammals. The white rhinoceros and the black rhinoceros are found in Africa. The Sumatran rhinoceros, the Javan rhinoceros, and the Indian rhinoceros are found in Asia.

Rhinoceroses have huge, barrel-shaped bodies and large, long heads with one or two horns. They have short legs with three hoofed toes on each foot, small eyes, a thin tail, large ears, and thick, wrinkled gray skin that is lightly covered with stiff fur.

Rhinoceroses are found in grasslands and forests and are herbivores. Females in this family usually give birth to a single baby.
