Troglodytidae - Wrens

There are around 93 species of birds in this family. They are found in North and South America. They are found in forests, brushlands, deserts, and marshes.

They are small birds between 3.5-8.5 inches in length. They have slender, long downcurved bills; short, rounded wings; and a short, square or rounded tail.

Most species are brown in color with brown, black, or white spots, streaks, or bars.

They usually forage on or near the ground for worms, insects, and other invertebrates.
