The tundra is one of the harshest biomes and it is definitely the coldest!

Vernal Pools

Vernal pools or ponds usually develop in the spring, when rain and melting snow fill in depressions in the ground.

Wetlands

Wetlands are found along rivers, lakes, and in depressions.
