The Secret Life of Lobsters

Working closely with commercial lobstermen and studying their catches over the years, marine researchers are able to get a general picture of changes in the lobster population. But for a closer peek into lobster physiology and social behavior, and for a closer measurement of the resource’s health, UNH researchers employ an array of creative techniques — including watching lobster traps with remote underwater video cameras.
